About Us

Our Story

Established in August 2008, Groomed to Go Inc. is a not-for-profit organisation that exists to provide clothing and support services to those in need. Groomed to Go started its journey as Dress for Success Mornington Peninsula, a local branch of the globally recognised Dress for Success organisation, empowering women to achieve economic independence through a dressing and job support service.

In 2018, we changed our name to Dress for Success South East Melbourne, to more accurately reflect the broader community that we serve. In 2019, we recognised a need in the community for our services to support people from all walks of life and circumstances, not only women, thus the Groomed to Go brand began it's official use, with Dress For Success South East Melbourne as our support program for women.

Today we work tirelessly to provide casual and work wear to people who need it. Our primary focus is on people who:

  • are job-seeking or have recently gained employment and need appropriate clothing

  • have recently been released from prison and need clothing and accessories to help make their fresh start a positive experience

We are looking to expand our support to people who:

  • are experiencing homelessness and don't have access to sufficient affordable clothing in good condition

  • are fleeing domestic violence and need clothing, accessories & toiletries quickly
